This project consisted of a seismic upgrade of single-story wood framed commercial building. The building was long and rectangular in plan, with an inadequate amount of 1x diagonal sheathing on the rear walls open store fronts on the street side. A braced steel frame and collector were added along the back and an ordinary steel moment frame and collectors were added along the front to improve the seismic performance of the building.
$100,000 construction cost.
