This site was the former Coliseum movie theater, which was considered a neighborhood landmark. Consequently it was important to preserve the original façade of the building. The project plan called for leaving the existing perimeter concrete walls – which were of very poor quality – gutting the interior of the building and demolishing the existing roof structure.
