This project involved the conceptual design for seismic strengthening of a multi-story, concrete framed art classroom building. The existing lateral force resisting system consisted of concrete shear walls and frames, with some exterior wall set backs at the top floor. The proposed retrofit scheme was based of FEMA 273, and included the strategic installation of new shotcrete elements.
